Number Tracing Practice Worksheets

Number Tracing Practice Worksheets are a great way for young children to learn how numbers are formed. They can get the feel of how to write it by tracing it again and again until they understand how to write it by themselves.

Work alongside your child the first couple of times to explain as they trace that you “start at the ceiling and go down to the floor”….”up and around, down to the floor…” etc. This way, they will understand the steps they are already doing, and when they try to do it themselves later on, it will be easier.

Other times, a child may enjoy sitting on his own and tracing the numbers as a “busy time activity” when you are doing something else.

Either way, your child will benefit by using these number tracing practice worksheets!

You could laminate these if you want to use them again and again – dry erase markers will clean off of laminated pages.
