Free Printable Music Notes Study Sheet
For those of you with little musicians in your home, you probably have them ask you at one time or another — “Mom, what’s this note?” 🙂
I designed this printable music notes PDF for my kids (who I teach piano to) so they could put it up next to the piano as a reference.
Our goal is, of course, to not need to refer to this after a little while, BUT, as with learning any “language,” you’ll find that the repetition of figuring out what a note is will help them remember over time.

Happy practicing! (And listening, moms!) 😉
P.S. I often get asked at what age I started teaching my kids piano, as well as what method I use.
I started my kids at different ages, between 4 and 6. They need to know their alphabet and be ready to listen and learn for 10-15 minutes at a time.
So you, mom, are the best judge of that for your kids – they all have their own “ready time”! 🙂
For young beginners, I recommend the Music for Little Mozarts series by Alfred.
They’re super-fun and slow-paced so that your child doesn’t get overwhelmed!
Plus, everything is self-explanatory, so even a parent that doesn’t play the piano can still easily understand what their child is learning.
Find the books HERE.
I’d love to hear what ages you’ve started your children on instruments — leave a comment below and let’s talk! 😉
These clef tracing worksheets are fun, too!
