This apple tree counting activity is a fun way for kids to practice recognizing a number and counting out the correct number of apples for their tree!

Or try it in reverse and have them count the apples that you’ve already placed in the tree, and they put the correct number on the tree trunk!

Either way, it’s a great way to have your preschooler have fun with numbers and learn as they play the ‘game’!

I designed this apple tree counting activity to be used with a circle punch for easy cutting of all the apples and numbers. You’ll want this 1.5″ circle punch for this printable (make sure you print at 100%).

Supplies needed:

cardstock for printing the PDF (download button below)
1.5″ circle punch or scissors for cutting by hand

Just print the tree and the apples + numbers pages, then cut the apples + numbers out with a circle punch (or scissors if you don’t have a circle punch).

There are two ways to play this: you can put the number on the tree trunk and have your preschooler put the correct number of apples in the tree, OR do the reverse, you put the apples in the tree, and they choose the correct number for the tree trunk.
